Go to the website of the 3rd part service provider you have chosen and register a free buyers account. You are a buyer because you are buying the services of a freelance writer. The best way to understand how the site works, is to browse through the bid requests.

All buyers are required to complete a bid request that specifies the work to be done and the maximum price they are prepared to pay for the work. You will then receive bids to do your work and its up to you to decide which bid to accept.

Its very easy to check out the sellers references from buyers who have used them previously. All communications (and payments) between buyer and seller are done via the 3rd party, so there is a permanent record of everything that takes place. You will have to pay in advance, but they will hold all the funds in a special account until you agree that all the work has been completed to your satisfaction.

The process sounds more complicated than it actually is and once you had done it once, it is very easy to use. Costs can vary quite widely, but you should not have to pay more than $6 - $10 for a good quality article of about 700 words. For larger projects like ebooks, the cost per word becomes cheaper.

Why Should I Publish My eBook In Pdf Format?

The most popular format for ebooks is pdf which can be read by any type of computer using a free Adobe Acrobat reader. Your original article / ebook can be created and edited in a word processor such as Microsoft Word and then converted into pdf format. There are a number of software packages (free and paid) that you can use to convert your work into pdf format.

If you are serious about creating your own ebooks on a regular basis, I strongly recommend that you invest in a paid version of a good pdf creator. I personally use a product called DeskPDF that is very easy to use.

Creating A Professional Looking eBook Cover

To give your product a professional finish, it is essential to create a high quality ebook cover. I find that eCover by Armand Morin is very easy to use and produces good looking quality covers. Your book cover is simply a graphic image, usually in gif or jpg format. You will use your ebook cover on your sales page to promote your product and this greatly increase the perceived value of your offer.
