Are Colloidal Silver Products Safe?

Advanced Colloidal Silver, when taken according to Utopia Silver Supplements suggested serving of one teaspoon per day, contains about 100 micrograms of silver. That is less than one third the amount of silver referenced by the EPA in their drinking water standards. The Environmental Protection Agencys maximum daily reference dose of silver is 350 micrograms.

There is sworn testimony from a forensic toxicologist that there is no known or established toxic level for silver or gold. Silver is one of few substances that have a reference dose not based on an adverse health effects and for which the EPA removed the maximum silver contaminate level for drinking water. This action shows recognition of the low or non-toxicity associated with the mineral, silver. If it is safe to drink from the public water supplies of America containing naturally occurring silver, it is perfectly safe to use this dietary supplement.

Even though there is a possibility that overuse of gelatinous/protein, saline, and/or nitrate based silver products may cause the cosmetic condition Argyria, we do not know of any documented death being caused by any silver or gold supplement. Our Advanced Colloidal Silver consisted only of mineral and de-ionized water. It is not a gelatinous based, saline or nitrate product.

It is important to be aware that a very small percentage of people do have allergies to various metals. A good indication of this is if you cannot wear silver or gold jewelry because of an allergy. In this case, it may be best not to supplement with silver or gold either.

It is also important to keep in mind that anything can be abused or misused. For example, an aspirin or two may relieve a headache, but a bottle of aspirin taken at one time can cause death. Most over-the-counter pain medications cause thousands of deaths and thousands of damaged organs each year. Patented antibiotics also cause thousands of deaths each year. Over consumption of drinking water in a short time span kills a number of people each year by diluting the electrolytes or rupturing the stomach, but should this define our use of water?

I am a firm believer in supplementing with supplements to prevent diesease. I understand that it is hard to choose supplements that you can trust, but whenever a company has a money back guarantee it is easy to say they trust their product and you should know to trust them.
