Possible Complex Life Form Suitable for Martian Environment

What kind of complex life is under the Martian surface and perhaps living in the ground water or ice? Are their remnants of life, which adapted to the changes and went underground? What types of life can we expect? Most scientists are talking about microbes right now, the tiniest forms of life. But why would there only be microbes on a planet, which has most all the essentials for life that we know about here on Earth. This is not to say that we should base our theories of life on Mars by what is here on Earth, but we should be thinking here because all the elements which make up everything here are also there and we know there has been exchanges of material throughout our solar system thru meteorite samples.

We know thru fossil records on Earth that some of our earliest life contained hard shell species, which were able to live in an early Earth atmosphere void of large amounts of oxygen, but had other gases such as CO2. A complex life form on Mars would need to live underground and perhaps be hard shelled, to us this life form would most likely look like what we on Earth would call an insect and have a similar body design and structure.

The complex life form of this type would also need to go thru long periods of hibernation and conserve energy, but would be able to spring to life when conditions arose which were favorable. Those conditions could include chemical reactions with in the organism which were triggered for a defense mechanism to protect itself, electromagnetic energy from dust devils, rain, solar flares or even perhaps volcanic Mars interior eruptions causing steam from underground ice melt.

For one to say there is no life on Mars simply by driving a Rover Around a specific area is simply silly and religious based single god wishful thinking and thus is a far cry from the unlimited possibilities which exist. Indeed, this is only one possible life form on Mars, which fits our understanding of how life on Earth evolves.

The fact is we do not know what type of life exists there, but since the possibilities are endless. We have many species, microbes, viruses, diseases, pathogens, which live here on Earth in very hostile environments for what we consider human life conditions. So we know those probably exist on Mars. But indeed, although many wish to think in terms of the egocentric special human race, we need to do a reality check, because we will find complex life on Mars, we just do not know what it will be yet. Think on this.
